Just listened to the article again. Very well said, Carol. “just the facts ma’am”. I fear that the men will think “not me.” My hope is the women will see/hear something that helps them not “settle for less”.
My single life works great for me. No “missionary work” as my dear friend JoAnn used to say. No health consequences, either physical or emotional. No “laying down with dogs”.
Thank you for thinking of us.. ☺️. I kind of think it behavioral except that a few weeks ago he did have a UTI .. and he is also trying to eat grass blades outside so I’m not sure.. but the bed thing .. we have a vet appt at 4.. so will see.
Carol, this left me reading all the articles and looking for more. I know one male in particular who could benefit so from your words ( can I show it to him without an argument? I only wish I could ... no not someone I’m interested in ... this someone my heart is sad for ) ... this whole letter to men reinforces why I’m now so happy to be single ... it’s like the couch off my back ... Although the couch has been off my back for many many many years .. I can see now why I do resist getting involved. Excellent piece. ....... PSS... on another note ... the “man “ or one of them ( the 4-legged kind) in my life... so sorry about that last night... I have a call into the vet today... he has never done THAT before and I almost hope it’s an infection and not behavioral .. because if it’s behavioral then it is telling me my household has a problem ( which it does 🤦🏼♀️ right now). xo
Good day! I woke up thinking about you and hoping your pup is going to be OK. My cat experience something similar years ago and had to be put on Prozac. In our case, it was behavioral. Thanks for reading this piece, for commenting, and for wishing to go deeper. As a single-by-choice woman, it breaks my heart sometimes to see both sides co-opt each other 😳😳😳

Thanks for reinforcing that.
Oh, Jean, thanks for checking in and for validating my deepest beliefs! 😊❤️

Brilliant. So well expressed. I have not yet checked out the articles you linked but look forward to doing so. That Pascal quote is a gem.
Thanks so much, Jamie!! 😊❤️
