As we all know, expressing thanks improves our overall sense of well-being. Grateful people are more agreeable, more open, and less judgmental.
Continuing through the alphabet this week with the LETTER L, post something you value, appreciate, recognize, cherish, and are grateful for. Your post can be a word, a sentence or longer, and even a poem or an image. What makes your heart sing?
I’ll start. L for Lindsey, my second daughter. Wife and mother of her first son, I have loved watching her become a first-time mom. Juggling a new home, full-time job and frequent travel, I am in awe. I am great-full—your turn.

I may be a day late, but letters are my “L” word. I love to write letters, or notes of gratitude to the people in my life. In fact, I just wrote my new boss a short text thanking her for her trust in me. A month ago I wrote my 97 year old aunt an update on our family’s lives because I know that now she does not have my mother, her sister to talk to. Her mind may not be as keen as it once was, but I know that her daughter would have read her the letter, and shown her the pictures. I like to write my letters of love and gratitude, especially the elderly. I have one friend with colon cancer who now is asking me to send her more emails. She will re-read the letters I write over and over again, and go after my old notes. She has no family, so it is more meaningful than a five minute phone call, although I do visit and phone her also. I know that I am writing and leaving nothing unsaid by writing these letters. Love and our time of appreciation is the answer. My expression is letter writing.

Wow, Dianne! In a world defined mostly by digital communication, letter-writing is an old art form. The world is a better place with you in it! 🩷😊
My Beautiful Daughter Lea
Good one!
I shared more details in Notes when I restacked your post, but my “L” today is the fabulous lunch I had.
Thanks so much!
In addition to love, which is so important. I would say life - and the opportunities it offers.
Love, love love. In all its expressions. I believe love is the answer to just about everything.
