I’ve been obsessed with abandoned buildings my whole life. My school bus used to pass an old blue house with white gingerbread every day and I stared at it. I always wanted to go in it but they tore it down and it’s been an empty lot ever since.
I wonder if, as we age our interest in looking back grows. Reflecting on our own life. When we are young we are so focused on looking ahead at the future progress innovation etc. Urbex subject are also so rich visually, decay offers texture and the unexpected. Along with the lives and stories of each place. Definitely and interesting subject :-)
Abandoned buildings evoke many emotions. One of our favorite shows is Mysteries of the Abandoned.... frequently has some really interesting places they investigate....
I understand totally. I’m a bit obsessed with old sheds and old mine machinery. It’s good it’s being recorded.
I see I’m not alone! 😊❤️
