Carol, What a delight to listen to this. Listening has such a lovely flavor. Not that I do not like reading but as a lifelong learner we know there are all kinds of learners and audio is a wonderful and such a personal way to connect with someone as well.
I know Osher! (though I have not taken a course I know people who have). There Osher at UCLA and for all your Los Angeles subscribers here is the link for that https://www.uclaextension.edu/olli-course-schedule
Getting back to your piece, I so relate to the love of the end of summer. I think of the year as starting in September and it's not just because I celebrate the High Holy Days (the Jewish New Year) it's because I think the school year as well. And I, too. was a awkward learner in school. Never really loving it but loving learning. We are the same age by the way :) I look forward to more audio recordings. ππ»
And what a delight for me, Sherri, to read and ponder your words and the downright synchronicity that brings us together. Itβs these connections that warm my heart and deepen my appreciation for this platform and all of the people on it. Thanks for checking in. It means a lot β€οΈπ
You're welcome. And me too! This platform is becoming a second home to me as I slowly come out of my shell. I miss it when I'm working (substituting). I'm glad I'm home recovering. It gives me a chance to be able to chat on the threads which is so important to building the writer's community. Thank you for checking in with me , too. ππ»β€οΈπ
So much βgold,β Wendi! Hope you are well on this Saturday morning. Iβm heading on to Zoom for a weekend of teaching massage, energy, and business content to new students. Cheers! π΄π΄π΄

The Yeats quote is my favorite, but there were some other gems like the one about all of humanity being our teacher.
